Tony Trujillo ( El Tigre ) Free Agent

tonyIf the name Tony Trujillo, “ El Tigre” rings a bell- it’s because you might have seen this Tony- the -Tiger smack down on the track before! Trujillo’s pro career began back in the 1970’s! Tony began skating in Roller Games first. His introduction team was, The Northern Hawks. As time moved along, so did Tony. When the action packed decade came to a close – Tony was traded to the New York Bombers. After spanning a long pro skating career, Tony did what any fast moving, star studded male would do… he made the decision to jump teams and join forces with his biggest rival- The Los Angeles T Birds!

The remainder of Trujillo’s career was spent with a list of teams that include, The Detroit Devils and the N.Y. Chiefs. This traveling Tiger also skated for infamous Rock-N-Roller Games, Violators! When the decade of roller games came to a close, Tony found inspiration from skaters like Judy Arnold and Juan Molano. With the introduction from Mark D’Amato to the Northern California leagues, Tony found himself skating for A.R.S.D. And we are happy to have him!

Mr. Trujillio is currently out of roller derby retirement as a free agent and sights his greatest derby accomplishment was winning a match race against the great Ralphie Valladares! Tony now resides in Southern California, retired from working as an Information Technology expert. As a free agent, Trujillo doesn’t have a jersey number assigned to him, but if he did… we’d like to think it would read “ 100%“ !
