Liz Barber SF Bay Bomber #34 – Retired


LizB-3Beautiful blonde bombshell , Liz Barber… was nick named, “Dizzy Lizzy” by her beloved rival skater, Karey Marengo!  Barber grew up watching roller derby on television with her parents and was always mesmerized but the sport.  In 1997, Barber hit the jackpot when she came to a Bombers game and tried out for the team prior to the event! Immediately, “Dizzy Lizzy” was drafted and the rest is history!

Barber boasts the greatest accomplishment of her career was taking  down the very Brooklyn Red Devil that so lovely nicknamed her! During her fulfilling skating career, Barber wore the number “thirty-four” and considered it a privileged because the number had been previously worn by the infamous Delores Tucker! Liz, now resides in beautiful Benicia, California where she works as a Sr. Business Consultant for Information Technology at Kaiser Permanente Group. Occasionally, you will find our beloved, ” Dizzy Lizzy” at a local game… look for her and grab an autograph for your collection!
